SEE IT! A GREAT opportunity for a responsible owner ...

This past year, the City of Hinton has spent much time and resources removing burned, abandoned, and dilapidated structures from various sites within the city limits. Some properties were identified as being structurally sound with potential for creating family housing and were donated to the City of Hinton in exchange for cleanup and/or demolition fees incurred. These properties will now be offered for purchase to citizens by the newly formed Hinton Land Reuse Agency, now accepting applications from interested citizens.

The first of these properties being offered for purchase is a home located at 717 Temple Street. This is a multi-level brick home, zoned residential, on a parcel of land measuring 30 feet frontage on Temple Street to a depth of 140 feet to the alley. The home has been emptied of trash and debris and the dilapidated garage at the alley has been demolished and removed. Applicants who consider themselves a responsible property owner will have the opportunity to purchase and rehab the home for family housing purposes.

Interested buyers may schedule appointments to inspect the property by contacting City

Hall at (304) 466-3255.

Applications are available at City Hall or ONLINE at City of Hinton government website, www.hintonwva.com. From the menu, choose RESOURCES, then Hinton Land Reuse Agency or click here: Hinton Land Reuse application form. Applicants may also print the file, complete it, then bring to City Hall at 322 Summers St., Hinton, WV 25951. #HintonWV #HintonLandReuse #BuyHinton
