Temporary 'Put IN – Take Out' for River Access
While the City of Hinton awaits the release of federal earmarked funds for the completion of Hinton Landing, local businessman Larry Fox has partnered with the City to provide a temporary river launch beside Advance Auto in Avis. The 'Put-In, Take-Out' is located near the previous site of the recycling dumpsters at the store. Mayor Jack Scott applauded the cooperative effort, stating “We very much appreciate Larry Fox’s generosity to provide this temporary site for recreational use by everyone who enjoys our rivers.” As with all water activities, we urge everyone to please take river safety seriously! #NewRiver #HintonWV
